Full-time - MENTAL HEALTH CONSULTANT

YSAS is seeking an experienced mental health practitioner to work within the Mental Health Capacity building project (3 days) and provide clinical services to young people with the YSAS Health Service (2 days). The successful applicant will be registered with the APS or AASW, have clinical experience and expertise with marginalised young people with complex problems related to drug use and mental health, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the capacity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Full-time or part time proposals will be considered. The successful applicants will have: 1. Tertiary qualifications in the health, social or behavioural sciences or equivalent field. Eligibility for AASW or APS, and eligibility for an Allied Health Professional Medicare Provider number 2. Extensive skills and experience in working with individuals who have mental health issues 3. Skills and experience in working with individuals who have AOD and associated issues 4. Skills and experience in working with marginalised young people and their families and communities 5. Extensive experience in the management and provision of supervision to multi-disciplinary teams 6.
