The Fitzroy Day Program offers a fusion of a primary health facility with a traditional activities program for young problematic drug users aged 12-21.

The program engages with the maturational needs of young people by providing a rich reservoir of experiences. Drawing on principles of occupational therapy and health promotion, the program views the essential vehicle of learning and growth to be engagement with other people, activities and the environment.

The focus of the program is on the needs and characteristics of participants, fostering the capacity to invest and offering opportunities to influence the environment, while providing participants with access to the best contemporary health services for specific and acute physical ailments.
