Quality Improvement Council

YSAS demonstrates commitment to continuous quality improvement through participation in multiple accreditation programs.  In 2017, YSAS was re-accredited as a quality organisation against the Quality Improvement Council (QIC) Health & Community Services Standards and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Standards. Accreditation is valid until August 2020. Its two headspace primary health clinics (Collingwood and Frankston) are Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP) Standards accredited.

Drug and Alcohol support for Victoria’s
GLBTQI youth

The Queer Youth Withdrawal Program is designed specifically to support young GLBTQI people aged 12-21 experiencing alcohol + other drug problems. It is the only one of its type in Australia
and it is free.

Based in Fitzroy at the YSAS Residential Withdrawal Unit, the program is free from homophobia
and discrimination.

It got me speaking to others in the community, others who are dealing with the same problems at the same age and I felt more relaxed and left feeling more accepted within myself.

YSAS is the Youth Support + Advocacy Service, a leading Victorian Health agency that enables vulnerable young people to take control of their health and wellbeing.

For more information on the GBLTQI Withdrawal Program please contact
YSAS Fitzroy Residential Withdrawal.

"Hearing young people's stories and getting to know them as individuals"

The Reval Ink project engages young people aged 12-24 years supported by YSAS programs in metropolitan Melbourne. Reval Ink is firstly, an engagement program that enables you to produce graphic designs using professional design software at YSAS’ Day Program located in Dandenong.

After creating your design, you can then print out the design on a T-shirt or hoodie to keep.

Reval Ink builds life experience and relationships through personal and group support, accredited and non accredited training in graphic arts/design from Chisholm TAFE (or non vocational providers) and transitions into education, training or employment.

"I love working at YSAS for the young people and the community"

Check out what's going on!  Finding good alternatives to substance use is a great way to get you through a tough time.

It's also an awesome opportunity to meet other young people who will get what you're going through.
