YSAS conducts and supports a number of ‘internal’ and ‘external’ research, evaluation and practice development projects.

Internal projects

Internal projects are conducted by:

• YSAS staff, or

• Students under formal supervision by YSAS staff, or

• YSAS staff collaborating with researchers from other organisations.

External projects – collaborations and partnerships

YSAS clients and staff are often consulted in research project that are driven by external agencies.

External projects are:

• Conducted by researchers based in other organisations, but

• Focus directly on some aspect of YSAS practice, and

• Involve YSAS clients / staff as participants.
