Home Based Withdrawal Services

YSAS’s Home Based Withdrawal Services support young people who are undergoing alcohol and/or other drug withdrawal while remaining in the community. Nursing and allied health staff provide medical care, support and supervision to the young person and their family. Staff aim to ensure the psychological and emotional wellbeing of the young person while addressing their primary health needs.

Home Based Withdrawal Services are located in Box Hill, Bendigo (for Bendigo and the Shire of Loddon catchment), Fitzroy and Dandenong (for Dandenong and the Shires of Casey and Cardinia).


Referral to Home Based Withdrawal Services:

Referrals can be made:

• by individual young people or family members
• through YSAS Community Programs
• through community alcohol and other drug services, GPs, primary and mental health services, youth justice and homelessness services.
