Strong Bonds – Building family connections

Young people today are living in a complex age with competing pressures to grow up, stay at home and pursue further education. At the same time, the way families operate has changed. The Strong Bonds project was developed in response to a need in the youth work field for a better understanding of the dynamics between a young person with complex needs and their family. The project also looks at ways that this knowledge can be better used in practice. The Strong Bonds team consists of youth and family practitioners working together to find strategies to strengthen the connection between young people with complex needs and their families.
